Run run as fast as you can 1-27-11

My Crohn's is acting up, so my husband has put me on a restrictive diet to calm things down. Now don't think he's some meany, he's a chiropractor, and my main doctor. He's also been doing some extra research so I we're doing a new program. Gluten free and some other supplements to heal my body. I took wednesday off to give my body some rest time and even though I wasn't 100%, I decided to go run on the treadmill, while the spinning class was going on.
I started with a warm up and then at 2 min I hit the speed button to 5. I was feeling pretty good for a while so I thought I would go to 5.5. Did this until mile 1 and I had to go back to walking. My asthma was really giving me a hard time. I haven't been bringing the inhaler and tonight I was really wanting it. I calmed myself down and decided to just stay at speed 5. I finished the 5k at 38 min and then decided to do some minute sprints. I did 6 one min sprints with a one min walk in-between each sprint. My first sprint was at speed 5.5, each sprint I increased my speed by .5, ending at 8. I did a 5 min cool down and ended up with a little over 4 miles clocked in for the night.
It was pretty fun doing the sprints. In middle school I did track, so it's been a while since I've done some sprinting, but it was great to change up my run.
