Snow day!

This morning I got up at 4:30 to get to the pool by 5. I was all ready, opened the door to find snow. Took me a few extra minutes to get to the pool, but got there safely. I got in the pool at 5:15, all but 3 lanes were occupied, so I of course took an empty one. I swam another 1350 yds in 30 min. The swim was definitely better today than Monday. I'm still not at the level I'd like but it was a good swim.
When I got home I did some laundry, cleaned the living room and took a 45 min nap. Woke up and got my kids ready for school. After dropping off the kids I ran/walked for 45 min.
Today was a bit rough. I had my two younger kids, 3 and 11 mo, with me. The 3 yr old was fine, it was the baby who was super mad. She let me get 30 min in, so I thought I would just call it quits, but then I thought..."I can't quit! Find a solution!" so I picked her up. I finished the last 15 min holding her.
My 45 min consisted of 16 min at speed 5, no incline. I then bumped up my speed to 5.2 and an incline of 1.5, this got me to 30 min. I picked up the baby and slowed my pace to 3.5 and increased my incline to 2.5. My grand total was 3.4 miles at 45 min. Not the distance I was looking for today, but some days I'll just have to adjust. Still a great workout though!
Never use your kids as an excuse. Involve them or if they are small, hold them. Working out with my baby is exactly how I would loose the pregnancy weight after each baby. No need for weights, grab a kid!
