Good Day

Today my daughter had 2 basketball games, her team rocked! They won both games :)
We got home ate lunch and i sat down to watch some college basketball. I love sports, especially college! Professional sports seem too fake, no heart at all. To my surprise I fell asleep and took about a 2 hour nap. I guess I needed it.
I woke up cleaned the kitchen and then went grocery shopping. I took my 3 yr old to spend some time with him without all the rest of the crew to bug him. It was really nice to have 1 child with me. We got home and I made taco salad, fed my 11 mo old and headed off to train!
Today was a bike/run day. Now I'm no expert on cycling terminology so please forgive me. My bike has the 3 Crankset thing in the front and then I think 5 in the back, so I started my hour ride on the largest one in the front and the 3rd in the back. I kept a pretty fast pace for 20 min, then I clicked my gear and it moved one closer in for another 20 min. For the last 20 I clicked my gear one last time. Each time I shifted, it took me a min or so to get used to the new resistance but the ride was great. I felt really strong today.
I jumped off my bike after an hour and put my running shoes on for about a 2 min transition and started my 15 min run. I started at a 0 incline and speed of 5.2. Every 3 min I would increase my incline by .5 and stayed at a speed of 5.2 the whole 15 min. By the end I was at an incline of 2.
Today was a good day!
Listen to your body while training, if you're tired sleep, if you're hungry, eat something healthy. I really needed that nap today and I'm grateful my kids let me rest. Now for a day of church and rest. Have a great Sunday! Enjoy your family time and get focused for the next week of training!

Chris :)
